Foundation Paper

Our British made foundation paper makes foundation paper piecing easy. Our paper is semi-transparent so you can easily see through it to place your fabrics. It feeds perfectly through inkjet and laser printers, plus it has a rough texture to ensure glue easily sticks to it.

It is thin and easily tearable ensuring you have no problems tearing it off the back of your work when you have finished piecing. You can cut it with scissors. a rotary cutter or score it. It does not scorch or curl up from the heat of the iron nor does the heat transfer any of the ink onto your fabric. What more could you want from a foundation paper?

What is foundation piecing?

Foundation piecing is a method of quilting that allows you to use small scraps to sew detailed designs, or designs which require precision piecing by sewing through paper which you then tear off afterwards. You can use free foundation patterns, purchased patterns or downloads from books and magazines which you either print directly onto the paper, trace onto the paper or draw on freehand. You sew along the lines to ensure precision, this allows you to create designs that would be very tricky using traditional piecing methods.

Delivery

We aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours after order agreement. Delivery within the mainland UK is by Royal Mail or Collect+ courier. Should you fail to be present for your delivery and the package is returned to us, we are entitled to charge you for the cost of redelivery. For orders outside of the UK, carriage will be charged at cost, price available on application. Customs charges may be payable locally on orders sent outside of the UK. We will not be deemed to be in breach of contract of these terms and conditions as a result of any delay in our performance or failure to perform our obligations if that delay or failure to perform is due to any cause or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood and other acts of God, strikes, riot, accident, disruption to energy supplies, civil commotion, acts of terrorism or war, breakdown of equipment or road traffic problems.

Damaged/Missing Goods & Returns

In the event of Patchwork Garden supplying your order incorrectly, please contact us immediately by phone or email. Damaged or missing goods must be reported to us within 72 hours of receipt. Any faulty item will be replaced, or refunded (at our discretion). You have the right to cancel any contract that you have entered into with us for up to 14 days from receipt of your goods. All items returned must be in an unopened, unused condition, and returned to us at your cost within this period.
